Find out what sailing is all about in a safe and structured learning environment. The Solent provides a wealth of places to go, all sheltered from any bad weather by the Isle of Wight. At the end of the weekend you get an RYA course certificate and your course counts as part of the full RYA Competent Crew course.

Dates and prices are listed below and you can reserve a place by clicking one of the 'Book now' buttons. All courses require 2 days of instruction - starting on a Friday evening at our base in Gosport and concluding on the Sunday afternoon. Accommodation throughout is on the yacht and you will need a sleeping bag (we provide pillows). When you decide to take things further, this course counts as the first two days of a Competent Crew course, so you need only choose one 3-day weekend to complete the next level.

Courses need at least 2 students to make it a useful learning exercise. Therefore if you are ultimately the only person booked on a course it will be impossible for it to proceed. The number of places on a course is always limited to 5 per yacht, but if there is strong demand for a particular date, we can usually accommodate more students through the use of additional yachts and instructors. If a place is not available for whatever reason, you will be given the option to defer to a later date, attend an alternative course/event on the same date if we have one, or get a full refund.
