ABOUT THE COURSE
Run a yacht as skipper. This course gives you the opportunity to take command of a yacht and crew in a range of situations in familiar waters, mostly by day. At the end of the course you will be ready to think about chartering on your own or perhaps as part of a flotilla fleet. If successful, you will get an RYA course certificate and will have clocked up at least a 100 miles in your logbook. COURSE STRUCTURE
Dates and prices are listed below and you need only click one of the 'Buy now' buttons to reserve a place. All courses require at least 5 days of instruction that you can achieve in one of four ways:- Book a traditional 5-day mid week course (Sunday evening to Friday afternoon)
- Book a 5-day course including a weekend (usually Friday evening to Wednesday afternoon) - this means only 3 days off work
- Book any three 2-day weekend courses (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) - this means 6 days at sea and no time off work
- Book any two 2-day weekends and one 3-day weekend (Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon) - 7 days at sea
STUDENT NUMBERS
Each course requires at least 3 students to make it a useful learning exercise. Therefore if you are ultimately the only person booked on a course it will be impossible for it to proceed.
The number of places on a course is always limited to 5 per yacht. However If there is strong demand for a particular date, we can usually accommodate more students through the use of additional yachts and instructors.
