Our matched yacht fleets can accommodate groups of up to 12 persons
on each vessel, plus a
skipper and crew. For overnight bookings, we can sleep 10, using the Bavaria 46.
Although timing is entirely flexible, a typical day might go
as follows:-
Start at 9.30am with a safety briefing on the yacht
in Gosport or Lymington and an introduction to its equipment and systems.
Set off around
10 to depart the Harbour and sail across the Solent to the Isle
of Wight to anchor in Osborne Bay or Newtown Creek for coffee. Throughout the trip, guests
are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the boat - helming,
handling sails and ropes, navigation etc.
Its just a short hop from the anchorage to Cowes,
the home of Yachting, to moor up in the marina for lunch
ashore or onboard. There is time to stretch the legs and explore the Cowes
shops.
After lunch, sail back across the Solent, having tea on the
move to arrive back at the marina by about 5pm.
High quality food - hot or cold, can also be provided and served fresh on board or everyone
can help
themselves.
